## Pit Stop #2, Checking In After 5,000 Miles

More than 5,000 miles into The Next American Road Trip, the AE.1 rolls into our South San Francisco Service Center for Pit Stop #2.

Chris takes us through a post-Leg 2 inspection, checking in on how the AE.1 is holding up after thousands of miles of real-world driving and what we’re learning along the way.

## Road Tripping Through the Redwoods in the AE.1.

On day two with the AE.1, Rob Love and his family take the long way south through Northern California, winding through the redwoods, stopping at Trees of Mystery and pulling off at the beach before eventually making camp for the night.

Along the way, Rob shares more of what traveling with the AE.1 actually looks like: packing up and switching from camp mode to road mode, towing with an EV and TrekDrive™, and having everything they need with them when it’s time to stop for lunch or spend a little longer by the ocean.

## A New Take on Camping as a Family of Four

 What changes when family camping means everyone has a little more room? For Leg 2 of The Next American Road Trip, our Director of Service brings his family of four along the Pacific Coast in the AE.1. With past camping experiences ranging from tents to camper vans, they share what feels different this time around: space to spread out, dedicated beds, a full kitchen and fewer moments spent rearranging everything just to make the space work.

## Pit Stop #1 After 2,500 Miles.

The first leg of The Next American Road Trip is complete. After more than 2,500 miles on the road, the AE.1 returns to our headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado for a full check-in before heading back out. Every road trip teaches us something, and before leg two begins, our service team gives the trailer a thorough inspection to make sure everything performed exactly as expected.

Senior Field Service Representative Chris and Lightship owner Bob Anderson sit down to talk about what ownership looks like beyond delivery. Chris shares how our hands-on approach to service, from remote diagnostics to on-site support, helps us stay closely connected with owners and continuously improve the product through their feedback.  Bob shares why he chose Lightship, what ownership has been like so far, his experience working directly with our service team and why the AE.1 has exceeded his expectations, including while towing with his hybrid Ford F-150.
